Event Time and Date
Dear Niagara College Students
The wait is over and we are less than a month away from CMHA Niagara’s 3rd Annual Ride Don’t Hide Event: an all-ages cycling fundraiser to support CMHA’s not-for-profit services in the Niagara community. More than 7 million Canadians (and 100,000 Niagara residents) will experience significant mental health distresses at some time in their life and we’re inspired to develop a community where individuals feel comfortable sharing their story rather than hiding their struggles. This year the event will be taking place on Sunday, June 25th, 2017.
This year’s event, which will be at Brock University, will be our largest to date with over 200 participants expected. In order to sustain the capacity of our event, especially the safety of the 35km cycling route, we require 100+ volunteers. That is where you come in!
Volunteers will be expected to:
- Attend 2 pre-event orientation meetings
- Arrive early the day of the event
- Commit to their pre-determined volunteer responsibilities
- Wear our free swag!
- Eat our complimentary food-truck lunch ;)
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Be a Route Marshall
- Set up and Clean up
- Help with Registration
- Help monitor Activities (eg. Bouncy Castle, Cotton candy stand)
- Parking Monitor
- Collect day-of donations
In order to submit your volunteer interest, please contact Madhav Khurana, Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com.
